Why We Chose This Location for Our New Agro Centre
February 20, 2026

Selecting the right site for our new Agro Centre was one of the most important decisions in this project. After extensive evaluation, we chose a location that positions us for long-term service, efficiency, and growth within our trading area.

The Agro Centre is located:

• 33 km west of Kindersley
• 5 km west of Flaxcombe
• 5 km east of Marengo

This places the facility directly within a strong agricultural corridor and in close proximity to active farm operations.

Here’s why this location made sense:

In the Heart of Farm Country

Crop inputs, fertilizer, and agronomy services are delivered directly to farms and fields. Being located between Flaxcombe and Marengo allows us to operate where producers are actively farming, improving delivery efficiency and responsiveness during busy seasons.

Strong Highway & Regional Access

The site offers convenient highway access for large equipment, semis, and bulk loads. Its east–west positioning supports producers from multiple surrounding communities while avoiding congestion within town limits.

Space to Build It Right

Modern agriculture requires significant yard space, bulk storage capacity, and safe traffic flow. This location provided the footprint necessary to design a purpose-built facility from the ground up — something that would have been difficult to achieve within town boundaries.

Long-Term Growth Potential

Equipment continues to grow in size, and input volumes continue to increase. This site gives us room for expansion and long-term infrastructure development to support producers well into the future.

Supporting Our Entire Trading Area

While Kindersley remains our primary hub, our Co-op serves a broad rural region. This location strengthens our presence in the western portion of our trading area while remaining accessible to members across the region.

This decision wasn’t about convenience for one community — it was about positioning ourselves strategically for the next 25+ years of serving agriculture across our region.

As a locally owned Co-op, our focus is long-term member value and sustainable growth.

Locally Invested. Community Minded.
