Meet our Board of Directors
Meet Board of Directors President, Tom Watt.
Tom currently sits as Board President and has been sitting on Kindersley and District Board of Directors since 1987.
Tom lives in Kindersley with his spouse Lanor. He has been in Kindersley since 1973, when he moved here to work as a Mechanic. Staying in the automotive industry, Tom is currently employed at Energy Dodge as a Sales Professional!
Tom really enjoys the feeling of team that the Board of Directors and the Staff have at Kindersley and District Co-op!
Meet Board of Directors Vice-President, Nathan Longmuir.
Nathan lives on a farm southeast of Eatonia with his wife and their three children. Nathan joined the Kindersley & District Co-op Board as an Associate in 2016 and was voted in as a Director in April of 2017.
The Kindersley and District Co-op is important to Nathan because it gives back to the community in multiple ways such as community sponsorships, donations, and cash back for its members. The Co-op is also able to provide services for some of the smaller communities in our trading area that wouldn’t otherwise have them.
He believes that working together makes good business sense because we are stronger together.
Meet Board of Directors Secretary, Laurie Kelly! 👋
Laurie resides on a farm outside the community of Brock, SK. This is her fourth term as a Kindersley and District Co-op Board Member. She was first introduced to the Kindersley Co-op Board at the 100th Anniversary celebrations that were held in 2014.
One of the reasons Laurie chose to join the Board of Directors is that she is very proud of the local involvement that the Kindersley Co-op has in all the surrounding communities. The Kindersley Co-op sponsors every community in our trading area through scholarships, KidsClub, donations of food for fundraising BBQs, etc.
Laurie is a firm believer that you give back as much as you can to your community to make it survive and be better.
Meet Board of Directors Member, Caroline San Andres! 👋
Caroline resides in Kindersley, just a few steps away from the Co-op Food Store and the Pharmacy.
Caroline officially became a part of the Board of Directors in June of 2022 after completing 6 months of training. She learned and continues to learn lots about how Co-operatives work, and this has complimented the knowledge that she has gained from working at the Credit Union. It is also a way for me to be in the know about different things/events happening in the communities that we serve.
Caroline is an advocate of Financial Literacy. She is also a member of the Parish Pastoral Council at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Caroline and her family just recently celebrated her husband and two sons becoming Canadian Citizens.
Meet Board of Directors Member, Clinton Barr! 👋
Clinton was born, raised and still resides in Hoosier, SK! Clinton served on the Hoosier Co-op Board of Directors for 18 years until the amalgamation with Kindersley in 2015. He then joined on the Board of Directors for Kindersley and District Co-op and has been serving for the past 7 years!
Clinton likes that we are a community-orientated business, providing services throughout the communities in the surrounding areas. We take pride in supporting many youth groups, non-profit organizations, and clubs. 100% of Kindersley & District Co-op’s profits stay in the community!!
Meet Board of Directors Member, Cymric Gilbert!
Cymric was born, raised and currently resides in Kindersley!
The Kindersley and District Co-op is important to Cymric because it has been apart of Kindersley for as long as she can remember. Kindersley and District Co-op has great community involvement whether it is a BBQ for a cause, giving to the local sporting groups, or the scholarships and bursaries that are awarded to graduates in our local area, just to name a few.
Cymric may be a familiar face to our members, as she has served on the Kindersley & District Co-op Board in the past! We are looking forward to having her back!
Meet Board of Directors Member, Malora Cormack! 👋
Malora is from D’Arcy, where she has lived with her husband and her three children, for the past 8 years!
Kindersley & District Co-op is important to Malora for a multitude of reasons – Kindersley & District Co-op is always giving back to the community in various ways, including but not limited to sports teams, non-profit organizations, etc. Kindersley & District Co-op is also incredibly important to fulfill the needs of our small rural communities!
I look forward to being apart of the Kindersley & District Co-op Board of Directors and look forward to meeting more of our members!
Meet Board of Directors Associate, Lorne Janzen!
