Important Update for Cardlock Fuel Purchases
Important Update for Cardlock Fuel Purchases
Kindersley & District Co-op is introducing real-time credit checks at Cardlock locations as part of a Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) update designed to reduce fraud and better manage account credit. Cardlock sites operate 24/7, and this new system will ensure purchases are checked against a member’s available credit at the time of fueling.
What This Means for Members
When fueling at a Cardlock location, the system will now check your available credit in real time. If your account has reached its credit limit (or soft limit), the pump will stop and the message “Credit Limit Reached” will appear at the card reader.
Most members will not notice any change to their fueling experience, as long as their account remains within the approved credit limit.
What to Do If Fueling Is Declined
If your Cardlock transaction is declined due to reaching your credit limit:
- Contact the Kindersley & District Co-op team:
- During Office Hours: (M-F, 8:30 AM — 5:30 PM)
- Shannon Behiel, Asst. Office Manager, 1(306)463-2624
- After Office Hours:
- Jon Fidler, Petroleum Manager, 1(306)460-5427
- Danit Vass, Office Manager, 1(306)430-7897
- During Office Hours: (M-F, 8:30 AM — 5:30 PM)
- Make a payment or review your credit limit with our administration department.
Once your account is back within its available credit, fuel purchases can resume immediately.
When This Change Begins
Real-time credit checks across the Kindersley & District Co-op Cardlocks will begin April 1, 2026.
If you have questions about your Cardlock account or credit limits, please contact our Administration Office at 1(306)463-2624 for assistance.
