112th Annual General Meeting
112th Annual General Meeting
The Kindersley & District Co-op welcomed members to its 112th Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the Kindersley Legion Hall. The annual meeting provided members with an opportunity to review the Co-op's performance over the past year, hear reports from the Board of Directors and management, participate in the election of directors, and learn more about the investments and initiatives that continue to strengthen the organization and the communities it serves.
Board of Directors President and AGM Chair Tom Watt called the meeting to order before presenting the Board of Directors' Report. During his address, Watt reflected on another year of growth and progress for the Co-op, highlighting continued investments in facilities, technology, equipment, and customer service. He spoke about the opening of the new Agro Centre west of Flaxcombe, ongoing improvements across the retail network, and the Co-op's commitment to providing members with the products, services, and expertise they rely on every day.
Members also received the audited financial statements, approved the 2025 allocation rates, and heard updates on the Co-op's financial performance. The meeting included the election of directors, with Cymric Gilbert and Lorne Janzen elected to serve three-year terms on the Board of Directors.

One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of the Member Relations Report, which showcased the many ways the Kindersley & District Co-op continues to invest in the communities it serves. Throughout 2025, the Co-op supported more than 90 community events, organizations, and initiatives through donations and sponsorships. Contributions included support for local schools, youth sports, community organizations, the Food Bank, Kindersley Minor Baseball, Western Oldtimers Baseball, Flatlanders Speedway, KAWS Animal Rescue, and many other local initiatives. The Co-op also continued its long-standing sponsorships, including the Co-op Arena Naming Rights, Great Plains College, Kindersley Klippers, Kindersley Rodeo, the Kids Academy Early Learning Centre, and numerous community events across the trading area. In addition, two local graduates received Kindersley & District Co-op scholarships, customer appreciation barbecues were held in Eatonia and Hoosier, and the Co-op's Kids Club hosted several family-focused events throughout the year.
The evening also featured two special Board recognitions. Board of Directors President Tom Watt was honoured for an incredible 39 years of dedicated service on the Kindersley & District Co-op Board of Directors. His leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment have helped guide the organization through decades of growth while remaining true to the values of the co-operative. Members and guests also recognized Nathan Longmuir, who concluded his service on the Board following his resignation. Nathan was thanked for his dedication, thoughtful leadership, and contributions during his time as a director.

The Kindersley & District Co-op extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who attended the 112th Annual General Meeting. As a member-owned organization, the participation and engagement of its members continue to shape the future of the Co-op. With continued investments in its people, facilities, and communities, the Kindersley & District Co-op remains committed to delivering value to its members while supporting the people and places that make west-central Saskatchewan such a great place to live and do business.
